Ability to offer complete battery systems from solution to maintence. We provide battery cell production, complete system engineering and battery management systems engineering as well as maintenance services. EB has partnered with industry leaders with whom the company is able to offer complete drive train systems.
Large-format battery and cell design capabilities. We offer large-format batteries in various sizes from small (2 kWh) to large (multiple MWh). EB has already delivered different sizes of energy storage solutions to vehicle, industrial and energy markets. EB is one of the few companies in the world with the ability to produce single large-format prismatic lithium-ion cells that are over 40 Ah in capacity.
Battery management (Cell Control System, CCS). Our partner, FEVT Ltd (www.fevt.com) has a patented battery management system, CCS, one of the few commercially available management systems providing active cell balancing for high-capacity lithium-ion cells. Its main benefits are high balancing current, scalability and intelligent balancing algorithm. Most commercially available systems are limited to cell monitoring and passive low-current balancing.
Battery systems engineering and integration expertise. Our expertise in areas such as thermal management, power electronics, control software, battery monitoring and balancing technology as well as whole drive trains through our partners allows us to build and deliver fully-integrated systems.
High capacity and quality manufacturing and proprietary process technologies. By the end of 2009 we have large production facilities in Finland. We operate the whole production process from cells to the complete system, allowing full control over the quality of our products.
Vertical integration from battery chemistry to system design. Our vertical integration reduces our development time and enhances our ability to work with partners and customers as EB can address all design requirements from the chemistry into the system levels.
